Dont judge me by this site - see some of some of the sites that I have built for my customers.
A selection of some of the sites that I have built.
Joomla-based sites
www.buddhahouse.org – this has integrated discussion forum, shopping cart, bulk mailer, event management, shop, calendar, content version backups … all the bells & whistles are here.
www.fpmta.org.au
www.fiscalstar.com.au – design is mine. It is maintained by the client.
www.pisc.org.au – designed to be accessible to farmers, and for non-technophiles to easily update it.
www.zerocarbonnetwork.cc – a work in progress. It has many powerful features, but is let down by not-so-good content development (still to do). Its main features of note would be a more sophisticated ACL (access control list) – so that different people can access different content and applications. People can also purchase advertising space on the site. Since Rudd came to power, some of the volunteer energy for this project has dropped off a bit.
www.soladome.com.au - this site was transferred to a joomla system to provide greater functionality - like better menus, shopping cart, ease of updating etc.
www.houseofbales.com - a simple, rapidly developed site that showcases the house of the future! This site uses the new 1.5 version of Joomla.
www.freedom4tibet.org - a rapid response to the crisis in Tibet. This may be our last chance to save Tibetan culture in Tibet. The site will eventually be tidied up a little & will promote a freedom concert, but at the moment it is primarily an activist resource.
Other sites of interest
www.detongling.org – a Buddhist retreat center in development on Kangaroo Island. Website is old fashioned html with lots of content. Fundraising & news focus with payments using PayPal. This site is next on the list to be Joomlafied.
www.flinders.edu.au/yunggorendi/ - style & website development for flinders Unversity.
www.trenigens.com.au - A catalogue and ordering system for dog products. Very shortly it will be moved to a much more sophisticated shopping cart system (using http://www.oscommerce.com/) – you can see it in development here – www.trenigens.com.au/index.php
www.phdex.com.au – brand image creation & website (new business). We recently added some asian language pages that has done wonders for attracting viewers from those regions.
www.winterconsulting.com.au – a nice simple site that is designed using the client's existing brand image. Css layout.
www.awangawang.com – designed from scratch – look & feel, logo etc. Some fancy flash animation work. The client is responsible for the majority of the (very nice) copywriting.
www.thepeninsulastays.com.au – designed from scratch. It uses our own CMS (which is now too old to market)
www.laserdepot.com.au & www.earthmovinglasers.com.au
These two sites are very special. The first is the original that I designed about 3 years ago. The site is extraordinarily successful at attracting customers (it has a strong ranking for relevant google searches). The second is a ‘micro-site’ – it is designed to dominate a niche market, or segment, and that is what it is currently doing! It is a very sophisticated shopping cart (oscommerce). There is much that could be discussed between these sites.
www.yourfutureedge.com - Actually there’s a whole suite of sites that belong to this business, that I developed, but their main ‘product’ is a very complex series of flash animations and applications that is designed to help one discover one’s personality, and then to use that knowledge in a program of change. The application was developed over 3 years. The site was developed over 3 weeks!
www.centralaudiovisual.com.au - This site is maintained by the client. I designed the website using a (non-Joomla) CMS, and the front animation is a good example of a simple feature animation using Macromedia Flash.
www.nicolepluss.com – another website that uses a CMS. Print layout & advanced template management. Some very nice copywriting by Nicole.
www.datarevival.com.au - brand image creation & website (new business).
www.palcontractors.com.au – example of nice design - brand image makeover, with feature animation.
